Represent a landscape with ojects (trees, houses, animals, people,...)at different distances from the viewer.

    Checklist

1.-  Does your image have objects that are close, in the middle, far away, and very far away in the
space? (at least four terms of depth)

2.-  Are the objects that are closer bigger (larger in size) + lower in the image and the objects that            are further away smaller in size + higher up or at the top

3.-  Does your image have overlapping objects? (objects that are close are in front
and objects that are farther away are behind)

    4.-LINES and DETAIL
a)- Do the objects that are closer have bold, thicker, darker lines and more detail and texture?

                 * Bold, thicker, darker: press your pencil harder on the paper
b)- Do the objects that are further away have light, thinner lines and no detail?

                 * Light, thinner: press your pencil very lightly on the paper.

    5.-COLOUR

a)- Do the objects that are closer have bright, saturated colours ?

b)- Do the objects that are further away have lighter, faded (desaturated) and colder colours ?

                       - Faded: mix two complementary colours
                - Lighter: press your colored pencil very lightly on the paper
                - Colder: Add more light blue to the background

    Painting PROCEDURE

    - Did you first make a general area of color on your paper  (paint with a lot of water) starting from the background?

    - You have to work on the details and texture of the close objects when you are finishing your drawing.
