Depth and volume activity; Atmospheric Perspective
Represent a landscape with
ojects (trees, houses, animals, people,...)at different distances
from the viewer.
Checklist
1.- Does your image have objects that are close, in the middle, far away, and very far away in the
space? (at least four terms of depth)
2.- Are the objects that are closer bigger (larger in size) + lower in the image and the objects that are further away smaller in size + higher up or at the top?
3.- Does your image have overlapping objects? (objects that are close are in front
and objects that are farther away are behind)
4.-LINES and DETAIL
- Did you first make a general area of color on your paper (paint with a lot of water) starting from the background?
- Remember that you don’t have to draw the details with the pencil. Only the general lines to place the objects.
- You have to work on the details and texture of the close objects when you are finishing your drawing.
